Shoshana came on Aliyah from New York, in 1980. In Jerusalem, she met and married her husband, Yoel Rackovsky, an Oleh from Pittsburgh.
Together, they built their home and family in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City.
In her artwork, Shoshana finds expression of her love of Jerusalem, Eretz Yisrael and the Hebrew Letter, employing motifs of Old City arches and steps, the Seven Species and dancing letters. Her art is steeped with secret meanings of Jewish Tradition. The ideas come to be in color, gold leaf and detailed paper cuts, on parchment and textured cotton paper.
